<p>Konekta is an open development initiative focused on the development of community web services that meet social needs. The project uses Millenium Development Goals and the objectives of Primary Health Care organisations to track and direct development. </p> <p>The Konekta project is rooted in experience gained from the Zanempilo and <a href="http://philani.org.za/">Philani</a> Primary Health Care projects in South Africa. Much of the vision for this project originated from conversations with friends and fellow development activists during the 2010 <a href="http://crisiscampldn.wordpress.com/">Haiti Crisis Camp workshops in London</a>, <a href="http://www.meetup.com/London-ICT4D/">London ICT4D meetups</a> and <a href="http://youngfoundation.org/our-work/social-innovation-investment/">Young Foundation Social Innovation workshop weekends</a>.</p> <p>We're interested in developing web services that use opendata and <a href="#whatis">open development collaboration</a></p>
