Plugins that use the <a href="http://www.opensearch.org/Specifications/OpenSearch/1.1#OpenSearch_description_document" class="external text" title="http://www.opensearch.org/Specifications/OpenSearch/1.1#OpenSearch description document" rel="nofollow">OpenSearch description syntax</a> are compatible with IE 7 and Firefox. Because of this, they are the recommended format for use on the web.</p>
